No formal prerequisites are published; anyone can register for the exam.
Renewal & maintenance
Valid for 3 years, 50 CEU credits per cycle, $50/yr maintenance fee. Renew by cpe.
Continuing Education fee roughly $25–$50/yr, depending on the certification. Earning a higher CompTIA cert (e.g. CySA+) renews the ones below it.
Recognition
New CompTIA operational technology (OT/ICS) security certification, exam SOT-001, available for pre-order.
